alone in a world of wounds?

Professor Morton,
Today I asked you if you thought that thinking The Ecological Thought
separates you from others who are not thinking it.

The Thought preaches connectedness,
but can perhaps be pessimistically seen as disconnecting.

I just found a quote from Aldo Leopold
that speaks to this separation from others. He said,

"One of the penalties of an ecological education
is that one lives alone in a world of wounds."

You disagree, right?

  1. Yes (disagree that is). ET (nb acronym!) prohibits you from distinguishing yourself from your fellow sentient beings in a way that makes you special or better.
